Back in the days of fighting fires they would serve us sack lunches. The sandwiches were just regular plain white bread, cheese, and sliced meat. I would put whatever chip or crunchy item they gave us in with it. Added enough to an incredibly boring sandwich

Not at all uncommon but it's a very hard no for me but Scrambled eggs with ketchup.
I do love brown gravy on mac-n-cheese. Loved scrambled eggs with ketchup when I was about 5 years old. Tried it again as adult and it was no bueno.

Dad used to chop a bunch of onion up, put chopped sardines and lemon juice on it and eat it. I finally tried it, and it was pretty good. And he loved onion sandwiches with mayo and salt. Also pretty good. Tough on your friends though.
And I can tell ya what not to eat. I had two cans of sardines one day, and I was still hungry. Made a peanut and jelly sandwich and ate that. My guts objected. I was burping up sardine chunks and peanut butter for hours.

Used to put bbq sauce on tuna cooked in a pan when I was about 14 or so, also butter on toast with sugar and cinnamon on top of bananas then put little syrup on top.
