Taking the family to Disney next month. My dad and I are going to slip away to do a little fishing one day.

Most of the guides I've found are bait soakers, and we'd rather not do that...

Any one on here have guide recommendations for Toho or Apopka?

I have been several times with different bassonline guides down there. Almost all will want to do shiner trips so you have to be very specific with them if you don’t want to fish that way. I have not had a bad trip yet with one of those guides.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Tom Mann Jr gets my vote! . If he won’t do those lakes I promise you he’ll know someone that does. Great guy.

I’d recommend Harris Chain right now. They are eating topwaters really well.

Also, stop by Bitters Bait if you can. Cool little store

Took my son and grandson on a trip 2 years ago to Toho with Chuck Pippin. It was a half day trip and we caught 15-20 bass up to 7.5 lbs. I’d definitely go with him again if I was in the area.

Funny you mention Chuck, my Pops and Uncle went with him on Toho and had a blast as well. They caught about the same and their biggest was 5.7 lbs.

Roland Martin... he was the funniest guide we have ever used... Fish with a legend, have fun, he tells so many funny jokes, and we caught some great fish! He is 80 and has more energy then most 40 year olds I know.

Great time fishing with him. You won't be disappointed...

I met a guy in the Everglades a couple of years ago that told me how he was taught by Roland Martin, how to catch shiners... pour out pig pellets, let them soak an hour, then go back and cast net them... he said Roland calls him and his brother the Shiner Twins, to this day..

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.
