It was like trading a 25 year old Larry Bird for a ham sandwich. Real fans understand there was no trade package on earth worth losing him. He and Joker should have been the two most untouchable players in the league. Straight up collusion between the new owners, the lakers and the NBA.

It took Jerry Jones decades to run me off. They did it with one trade.

On the one hand, Luka is a generational talent. Arguably the best player in the NBA right now when he is on. And basketball is a game where a single player can carry an entire team to a championship.

On the other hand, Luka's brilliance has also come with a lot of frustration. Beginning his rookie year, he has a slow start every season because he comes in out of shape and slow. Most people dismissed this as immaturity, and figured he would get better as he developed. But it may be worse now than ever. And he has become injury-prone, most likely due to his lack of conditioning. And he does not play defense. Not saying he plays bad defense, but rather he does not play, so you are playing 4 on 5 on half the court.

So the question is whether or not his phenomenal offensive play when healthy can outscore a 4 v. 5 defense and still carry the team during his injury periods.

Luka's next contract might just be the highest in NBA history. To me, that type of deal should not come with frustrations, so I understand letting him go. You can argue about the trade value you got for him, but I agree that he should have been traded.

Being the worst trade in the history of the NBA is REAL NEWS. 25 year old superstar who played more minutes than any superstar in the league who is supposedly out of shape. He played 37.5 minutes per game 2 minutes a game more than AD and 3 minutes more a game than Jokic. Stupid [censored] trade by Nico, no two ways around it

ESPN gave the Mavericks a grade of F. They gave the Lakers a grade of A++++++++.

You might have to explain it even farther for the East Texans on the board. They may understand the F but probably have never seen an A plus. I mean they put butter in their salsa,

The Mavs cant play run and gun with Luca in the line up,..they cant full court press with Luca in the line up,..
IMHO the locker room wanted rhis change,...hence the word "culture" was used...can't you see the elephant in the room,..
