Texas has got to put in desalination plants along the coast. Water will be very expensive to the point where you won't want to live in Texas.

Dallas has to get serious about water usage for everyone in the city. Quit watering the streets and sidewalks, plant drought resistant plants that don't require a lot of water to live, quit putting waterparks in subdivisions, start water restrictions on watering your yard (all year), the list can go on and on.....
Once they do this and are serious about it, get back to me and perhaps I'll listen to your water needs....

Tell us about your drought resistant plants and watering restriction.

There's approximately 75,000,000 gallons of water per day being pumped to San Antonio.

I know all the big cities in Arizona have water restrictions and mandate certain plants. I don't think Dallas has to go too extreme but does everyone have to have a perfect and lush yard? Do you need to water your yard every other day?

Unless the desalination tech evolves to be more cost effective they are going to have to build more lakes and big ones, believe there are some big talks at the capital about this lake in March.

I had a high school buddy sell his 600 acres for it, his farm house was positioned directly under the dam.

If they drop Marvin Nichols and go with this lake they may get my place. It wonโ€™t be in the lake but will probably be in the flood plain. I should be able to stand in my front yard and see it when it is full.
