If you haven't watched this yet, have a few tissues ready. It gets a tad bit dusty. Anyone know which lake this is? North TX somewhere.

I was a co angler once and drew Phil in a tournament and he was such a nice guy and great angler. I will never forget that on that day I was really familiar with the lake and he would pass up area's that I thought were really good area's and then he would stop in some of the most unfishy looking places and proceed to catch fish after fish. It was a really fun day.

Phil was a good friend of mine since the early 2000's from the world of fastpitch softball. I didn't realize he was a big time fisherman until years later, he was a good guy

I remember back in ‘12 when he caught 30+ pounds on the last day of a 4 day event on Rayburn, when a good bag was 15. I think combs came in second like 12-15 pounds back.
He was throwing a prototype 10xd on some hard spots, I remember his fish were coughing up small spotted bass in his livewell.
He had an old school vexilar flasher on his bow, haha. Getting it done!

I didn't realize he was a big time fisherman until years later, he was a good guy Dang that makes me sick to think we spent a day in the boat together and after starting my fishing journey late because I spent from age 15 to 39 playing Fastpitch Softball and then finally quit that sport to start bass fishing. Would have loved to share some stories.
