Brother I just repowered my 2009 Skeeter ZX225 from a Yamaha 225 HPDI 2 stroke to a Sho 225 last fall. No way I'm spending $100,000 on a new rig versus $22,000 for a new 4 stroke. Have my boat rigged exactly like I want it and am SO happy with the Sho! Quiet and runs like a scalded a** ape. Most everyone in my area are opting for repowering. It just makes sense.

Only issue is I can’t make the boat 21 ft long. So….this week I am buying a new boat. It’s gonna sting….a lot.

Reading this type of post made me decide to go big FIRST, so I got a Skeeter ZX 250. Took it out for its maiden voyage yesterday and I was SO glad I decided to get the 21 ft. boat. Wishing you the best in your purchase, Steez. I think you'll love it!

You’ll have that thing flashed and pushing that thing with 350hp and still going 75. Rangers are great boats and you spend 95% of your time fishing.

You’ll have that thing flashed and pushing that thing with 350hp and still going 75. Rangers are great boats and you spend 95% of your time fishing. I doubt it will do 70mph.

You’ll have that thing flashed and pushing that thing with 350hp and still going 75. Rangers are great boats and you spend 95% of your time fishing. I doubt it will do 70mph. Well maybe it will have an out of this world hole shot
