That day passed. I noticed no difference. Maybe kids skipped school? IDK That might be it.

I remember about 15 years ago they pulled this [censored] in CA. It was called a day without a Mexican and they wanted to show the financial impact there would be if they weren't here. I will give them credit because about 90% of them stayed home that day. It was easily the most pleasant day I ever had shopping and driving around in this state. Stores were quiet and "white" and getting around town was a breeze.

I didn't notice it in San Angelo... but then I didn't expect too! There were a few more sirens going off than normal, but the roofers didn't miss a lick.

Yup, we've had a few pass through here but for whatever reason none of them seemed to want to pitch a tent and stick around. I guess its a side benefit of being a smaller city off the beaten path.
