Looks like I'll have peace and quiet around the house for a while.
Except for the sniping...
DW started talking about the news as soon as I got in last night. Typical woman's mixed comments jumping from half a thought on one thing to another to another... Nothing coherent, kinda like an audio rapid fire version of random headlines.
So I stopped her and told her to stop with the Kamala-speak. Hoowee! For whatever reason that really lit her up.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Whenever that line of questioning came up back in my married days, I would just go all Clinton on her. I’d be confident in my defiance…filibuster…tell her I couldn’t answer her stupid questions because she hadn’t clearly defined words like “is”…etc., stuff like that. Sure, she would be in a huffy and things would be tense for a bit…but I never gave up the goods.
