Seems like a good opportunity for farmers down in the valley and California to start growing more Avocados. Its the growing windows that limit things. Plus it takes a bit to grow an avocado starting from scratch. Honestly it would be nice if the production was expanded here because it's one of the most volatile prices. They are 40 one week and 60 the next. Always something with that product. Yeah it would take a couple of years for a farmer to get fruit from plants. You have to start somewhere though.

I find it ironic that the media is all about telling us tariffs will raise prices when a year ago "tax the rich and corporations" and it was crickets on how much that would cost consumers.

Any way you cut it things are going to cost more with these tariffs. For how long who knows nor does anyone know if the prices will come down if the tariffs are lifted. If prices go crazy, I hope they don't, I may have to re-think retiring this year.

On another note along these lines. Watch the stock market, it could crash according to some pundits.

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Mexico produce of interest to me prices Today Lettuce 26 a case Tomatoes 19 a case Avocados 70 a case Dos xx ill check today as I don't have invoice at my house.
Canada Crown Royal ill check today as I don't have an invoice at my house.
Potatoes will be interesting to watch as well but their harvest cycle may avoid this as I expect it to be over quickly
It won’t matter where it comes from. It can be grown in Fort Worth and the prices are going to raise the same as coming from Mexico. Our great US growers and manufacturers will take every chance they can to raise the prices. And when the tariffs disappear they won’t lower the price. In 40 years of working in a specific industry I never saw a manufacturer lower prices.
Retirement best job ever.
