I will ask my wife, pray for me It's a bit of a drive, but we have a spare bedroom for when you get to where you can see again. My wife can bake desserts like a pro, but if you depend on her to make a daily meal you will be hungry. Her mother never taught her to cook, I have been working on teaching her how for over 30 years. She just can't understand it takes ALL of the spices in the recipe to make it taste right, ESPECIALLY SALT.

My Mother died when I was 4.
I was basically raised by my Grandmother and a Nanny.
My Nanny said when I was young, you will know two (2) things when you leave the house, how to cook and how to mend clothes. I can do both.

Generally speaking it's not magic..... follow the damn recipe. If the recipe sucks get another recipe. It's always funny when people ask me details on a recipe when I make something and have them over. I tell them I have no clue, I just followed the recipe. Why do I need to memorize recipes?

I took Jerry’s advice “Why didn’t I just learn how to cook”
I know now lol
