I'm wondering why NFL teams put so much stock in what a player does at a/the combine. It really seems to make a players stock go up or down by quite a bit. Teams seem to forget the player during the season/season's body of work is just average at best but because they bench 225lbs two more times or can jump an inch higher than another player they get millions more. Does this make any sense to anyone?

According to a video I saw, Jerry isn’t impressed with any of that. He’s only interested in dangle length.

If a feller hangs near the end of the ruler, Jerry will want to put him on the squad.

I think the interviews carry the most weight. Ask the right questions and you can get a pretty good idea how coachable someone is, and whether they are the right fit or not.

The NFL Underwear Olympics have become a money grab. So many players opt-out or 'choose' what they will or will not participate in. When I was coaching I had a mentor share that if you are running 40 yards in 1 direction on a football field you are beating everyone; getting beat; or running off the field at halftime.

Well; it’s better than watching the Pro Bowl.

I bet Frank Crum has a different take on the Combine, his workout got him a contract.
