I'm a little on the confused side regarding whether it is safe to fly.

The news is telling me that untalented FAA ATCs are manning the towers at airports across the country. They were hired based on their DEI qualifications rather than merit. This is why the helicopter and plane collided near DC.

The news is also telling me that it is safe to fly, and that there should be no concerns regarding this issue.

Were there only under qualified DEI FAA ATCs at the airport in Washington? This issue wasn't portrayed in the news to only be affecting the airport in Washington, but maybe I assumed that.

Are you all changing your travel plans?

If I'm safe, what about the ATC towers full of people don't knowing what they're doing?

I put my daughter on a plane at DFW airport today-

I believe she will be safer than if she drove for 7 hours-

There won’t be anybody manning the towers, survival of the fittest!

Federal cost cutting measures.

You’re safe. There’s nobody in any tower that doesn’t know what they’re doing

I worked with a guy whos first job out the military was an traffic controller --- he hated it . It was most stressful job he ever had . The stress actually made him sick .
He hated flying because he knew what they had to do and how easily one mistake could kill hundred's .
When Biden started pushing DEI into all federal jobs --- I told my wife the two area's this would cost lives --- was military and FAA .
I couldn't picture an air traffic controller being sub par --- scary .
1000 applicants turned away for not being the right skin color --- apparently , one of the applicants had a perfect score !!!
DEM's are literally insane for doing this

i'm hearing that ATC folks live shorter lives from all the stress, doesn't sound enjoyable, maybe there are rewarding aspects to that line of work, not sure.

Any ATC types on here?

They also have higher alcohol dependence levels, divorce rates, etc.

There is a federal lawsuit against Biden admin --- in that lawsuit , 1000 applicants were turned away because they didn't fit the " DEI " requirement --- they were white .
Out of that 1000 applicants --- there was one male that scored 100% on all testing . I am not sure what the " testing " was ---- but he was extremely qualified and they turned him .
Main point --- Bidens admin wanted DEI hires only

The only ATC’s Ive ever known was 4 guys while I was skydiving in the 90’s-

It could be argued none of us were in our right mind, but those guys were as “normal” as any of us-

People handle stressful jobs differently-
