Has anybody seen white bass action up here yet? Thinking of heading out there in the next couple weeks to get my fill.

I have had a flat bottom boat with an outboard jet for shallow water for about a year now. Been wanting to run the Brazos above Granbury. What ramps / river access do you use to get on the river? Or do you just put in on Granbury Lake?

It's a bit early for the run still.

Yeah Iโ€™d say a bit early. Small groups of smaller males usually start to poke around come mid-late february. 1st-2nd week of March itโ€™s usually game on.

As an update to this area, my son and I went to the river above Granbury this last Saturday 02/15/2025. We put in around 12pm, and left the water after the strong cold front came through around 4:30pm. Water temps were 53-55 depending on how shallow we were, we tried minnows, jigs, rooster tails, and small crankbaits. We searched several miles of water with not much visible on the graph, we also trolled for 3-5 mile stretch of river with no luck. We finally pulled off into a feeder creek and caught one nice sandbass, and 1 keeper black bass. Based on our fishing from years past the run hasn't quite started yet, but should be happening soon. I would bet the next major warming trend, and some additional rain the run should be in full force.
