Maybe I’ve never had the flu, just Covid twice. I don’t really even know the difference between Covid and flu, is there one? Seems like like vaccines for both are ineffective

Because the term "flu" gets used too liberally and sometimes as a catch all for a just run of the mill bug. The flu will kick your butt no matter how Chuck Norris someone is.

Then again none of it is worth arguing about. The people are really sick which is why district s are shutting down. They don't close for no reason as they lose money when they do. It takes a big push to close down a whole district. People are sick. Believe it or not its not gonna matter either way or change anyone's mind.

Its either two things then;

1. kids of the 80's, 90's and up until about 2020 were about about 10 times more Chuck Norris than todays kids.
2. The government, doctors, and everyone else were lying their tails off for decades about the flu and what flu is. I don't know anyone who had the flu, as you are explaining, until about 2020, they had the run of the mill bug.

I think there is definite softing of todays kids. home schooling numbers are through the roof. Kids are going to school online. Its all a bunch of bs. Trump is making government employees go back to work, he should make kids go back to school too. MSGA.

Something is happening, i think people deserve truthful answers.

I just think it's an rough year. I don't see much of an agenda. Every year is a different flu strain. Sometimes multiple strains per year. Things change over 10, 20 and 30 years. Plus far more population.

Real flu is way different than the "flu". You are not getting over the real flu in 2-3 days.

I've never been down more than 3 days with any sickness. Including vomiting and diarrhea which to me is the absolute worse sickness. Even when I got covid I went to work on day 3. I work solo on the road and take my lunch so I didn't bother anyone. Just like this flu I'm just getting over. If you get up and get active I feel it helps along with clean fresh air.

Are you sure you’re not John Wayne, Clint Eastwood or Sylvester Stallone? The more I read the badder [censored] you get💯 Stay hard‼️

He's more like Chuck Norris...he gives the flu to the flu!

We haven't had a good Chuck Norris thread in a while.

Chuck Norris is the only person alive that can kick you behind your face.

The sun checks with Chuck Norris to make sure it's OK to rise for the day.

Hmm lot of hot air in here LOL

number one I do have a strong immune system. I got sick maybe 4-5 times when I was younger. I do remember back in the early 70's entire schools shutting down due to the flu. I don't know until I was over 40 ever being laid up more than one or two days with anything, but maybe chicken pox. LOL

I had covid three times two of those barely knew I was even sick except for a couple symptoms, I got tested two of the three times when I had. I got sicker with the flu personally.

folks as we get older we will get weaker for sure. I don't think the kids are as strong today or have as strong of a immune system as we did as kids, I think part of that is we are to clean and our immune system never really get strengthened.

I do know my granddad who went almost twenty years one time without getting sick he was one of the strongest men I ever knew. I think like some have said we are not all build the same and schools shutting down is not a new thing or people getting sick with the flu.

I do think our Doctors are way too quick to hand out medicine for every little sniffy so our bodies built up immunity to the very meds we need to heal us.

Folks it's not the end of the world to just let your bodies work it’s way through a illness. That is to get immunity from said diseases, so you won't catch it next time, rather than run down to the doctor every time you get a cough.

There is quite a bit of flu and some RSV going around Fredericksburg right now. I don’t believe any of the schools are closed at this time. I will say I’ve had Covid at least twice, including the original bug when it first started. I’ve had chickenpox three times and once in my mid 20s when I was in the service and that just about killed me. So given my experience, chickenpox as an adult made me sicker than Covid did.
