OP firefighter196965 Outdoorsman F Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 120 Lake Fork (Alba)	What cranking battery is everyone using now? I have a 95’ 200 merc on a gambler 2.4 liter, so I don’t think I can go lithium on that. I have my live well and powerpoles run to them as well. My old battery was a 1000 cca from autozone. Should I get a dual purpose one (deep cycle and starting) or just a agm style? Any sales out there? Thanks for suggestions.

They replaced the first 2, not the 3rd. I had a good buddy of mine who recommended checking my charger. Found out that the charger had a bank that wasn't able to charge correctly and it would fry the battery. Have you recently had your charger inspected?
