Pake has been on here for what's gotta be close to 20 years. He is a prodigy.

His partner is Darren Longoria, known him since he was little. He's every bit as good as Pake and if they start fishing together they will be hard to beat. His other partner Haydon Marshall stepped up and finished 11th at the Toyota event on Rayburn this weekend.

Hope he's fishing division 2 of the Opens. He’s at Kentucky Lake practicing👍🏻 Yes, Pake is fishing Division 2 of the Bassmaster Opens. The first Tournament for Div. 2 is on Sam Rayburn and is off limits right now or he would have fished the Toyota event. The second Div, 2 Tournament is on Kentucky / Barkley Lakes. After the Palestine FOM Tournament he had dinner with a few friends, came home, packed and went to bed for a few hours. Then left the house about 2:30 in the morning and drove to Kentucky Lake for pre-practice. The boy works as hard at this than just about any I know. He starts every morning and is usually the first one at the ramp and the last to leave every single day. He didn’t get any pre practice on Rayburn because he was getting his new boat rigged, but he has the official practice days and will hopefully get things figured out there. He has been singularly focused on his goal to be on the Elite Series and compete against the best since the spark struck him at around 6 years old. As a blue-collar family, we have helped him financially very little. Pake has worked his tail off guiding, fishing what tournaments he can along with some sponsorship help to get where he is right now. I can assure you this is not “Daddy’s Money” as Daddy does not have any. Pake has worked hard for what he has! He fully understands that this is not a get rich deal, and he truly isn’t in it for the money. However, he also understands that it takes money to keep the wheels turning. That said, if you want a guided trip to just catch fish, break your personal best or learn, book a trip with him. After you spend a little time with him, you’ll see his work ethic and passion for the sport and hopefully catch some good ones. As you that know him, know, he is quite and reserved and he generally likes to let his results and fishing speak for itself. However, we live in a world where social media does have an impact, so I would appreciate it if you followed him on the various social media platforms and encourage him along the way at pakesouthfishing on Instagram and Pake at the Lake on FB. As a side note, while he is an absolute beast with FFS, he was catching big one’s way before he ever had it and has a God given gift in understanding fish behavior. Let the haters hate!

I dont think I have ever heard anyone Hate on Pake Brian. You did a great job raising him and hes become a great angler......it shows in his character. I think the word hate should be exact opposite. I think everyone on this site and from around this area that know him stand behind him and want to see him make the Elites. I know personally, He's a Fork boy, so I always got his back!

No one that truly knows him or has followed him for any amount of time has demonstrated any hate. That said, as with anyone having any type of success, I’ve seen some pretty hateful comments directed at him through other mediums and that comment was directed at those unfortunate souls. That comment was for them, and they know who they are. I should have said “Let the Love Flow” In Christ, Love you guys!

You've done a great job raising him up right! It's been cool watching him grow up through your posts on TFF over the years. I haven't chased bass on purpose in a long time, but I did catch my biggest one crappie fishing near ya'll back in 2010! He was a little dude then!! Looking forward to reading about more of his success stories!

We fished Saturday and zeroed there so congratulations to him and his partner for a very impressive bag. It’s nice to hear of a young man that is doing it the right way.

I too followed this young man when he was still just a kid and already was getting a reputation for being a special angler. It has been fun watching him really take off with his guiding and his success in his tournament fishing now. I may be in my 70's but when noticing his success using some rods and Santone Jigs a little different from what I use I sent him a note just to get his opinion regarding them. He took the time to send me back his opinion and info on some different products I was not using and after taking his advice I have some products now that I have started using that really works for me so I really am thankful for his help and taking the time to share his knowledge even at such a young age.
