I bought a small trolling motor to add a splasher to my boat. Looks like there are a couple different splasher propeller options out there. Which splasher props do you use? Does anyone have a strong opinion to buy one over the other?

Here are the two I see out there to buy:

1. https://my-site-103001.square.site/
2. https://graylinebaittanks.com/products/fishing-supplies/

Are there any others that any of you use that you recommend?

I use #1 and run it in the reverse mode on my trolling motor. It works as well as any splasher I have seen. It is very effective at pulling in fish.

So you are running it where the cups on the prop are going the wrong way? I noticed on a youtube video someone else was doing that too with that same prop...think that was Boone Boys (guy up in Oklahoma). Do you run it that to make it quieter?

I have used #1 style prop for at least 4 years. They work really well. I also run mine in reverse and it still calls the fish in just as well. The reason I run it in reverse is because the cups going backwards put less work on the trolling motor itself and that allows my battery charge to last longer

Curious, have you ever compared the run time difference between reverse vs. forward?

I run #2 cost just as much as the trolling motor did.

T Bird, I can fish all day from daylight until 7.00pm and my deep cycle blue top optima when in the forward position, the charge life left in it is around 10%. When I run it in reverse, the charge life left in it is 40%, plus in reverse the prop doesn’t throw up water on the boat like it does in the forward position.

I also have longer battery life and less water in the back of the boat.

Thanks, that's quite a difference.
