The fires in LA are close to ending. They are forecasting significant rain in the next day or two.
Now they are talking about flooding the in fire affected areas.

Flooding and mud slides are pretty common after big fires like that in areas with any significant elevation.

If there are mudslides, look for a major earthquake soon after. Bad things always happen to 3's according to Murphy.

I would absolutely live there except for the cultures and politics.

Same old cycle.

I remember being a young buck and seeing Conan Obrien do a skit on his old show where the then Governor Schwarzenegger was proposing California should double down on its exports of its most abundant natural resources; those being fire, mudslides, drought and undocumented Mexicans...

The "Governor" had a whole plan. It was funny.

So that was circa 2002 and its the same story today...

That would be my luck. Spend a couple million building a fire resistant house, then a mud slide comes along and takes it out.

Well, minus that one bloke without a spec of mud/creosote on his kit….suppose our society needs folks that are good at bringing attention to those who earned it….just wish he and the rest of that sort would respectfully stand at the back and to the side instead of front and center.

This photo was in 2013 in Montana, he came to film a portion of a documentary he was doing.

Did he go to NM also?
