He has coached 38 years on 13 teams and we’re his first head coach job. Isn’t he only 51 years old? Yes, apparently he started coaching in the NFL at age 13. I will say that means he must’ve been a hella coach to start in the league at 13 BUT he hasn’t climbed the ladder very far in his 38 years of experience.

While it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence for most, I prefer to not waste a whole bunch of mental energy on worrying about it and choose to give the guy a chance. I’ll be there in week 1 rooting him and the team on to success.
I like the continuity and think Eberflus will be a great addition. Reports are that it’s possible number 82 could come back and take over at offensive coordinator. Regardless, sweeping coaching changes like this brings about its own excitement.

I see why they did what they did , they have Dak for 4 more years, Shotty got a 4 year deal, they did not want to change everything up on the offense because of Dak. If it does not work out they will have to start all over in 4 years with a new QB and probably a new coach. I am excited to see what Shotty can do, I am predicting coach of the year ! I also was hoping they would have hired Urban Meyer on the last coach search, so there is that.
