Just bought a new suit for the first time in about 20 years and remembered going to Syms back in the day for good quality suits, slacks, jackets, ties and shoes at great prices. Nothing comparable now that I know of.

I didn’t know they were still around. I used to buy all of my suits and slacks from them. Set deals there were on brand name suits.

I had totally forgotten about them. I purchased items from them in the late 80's.

Not still around. Filed for bankruptcy over ten years ago and closed all the stores. They were awesome - good labels at rock bottom prices.

I never bought from them, but definitely remember the commercials! I usually go to K&G in Arlington to get a suit, although nowadays you don't see as many good deals on name brands that you used to.

You know how they show an old photo of someone and a newer version of the same photo.

I have progressive photos of about a twenty year time span taken every five years at a time with the same suit on.
