Hey guys I just wanted to see if there's anyone here who's familiar with the Amherst OH area? I'm vacationing there this coming May, with an old Air Force buddy of mine, & we're going to be fishing for bass. Where's a good bass lake close to Amherst?

You've really only have two choices... Erie is the obvious one... Depending on the weather you should be there pre spawn... Some big smallies can be had that time of the year if your buddy has the boat capable of dealing with Erie... The other choice would be Mosquito Lake. A little further drive, but it's Ohio's best inland lake by far... The thing about Erie that time of the year is you can double up and get into some fantastic Walleye fishing also... Can't go wrong with either choice... Dan
