Trump is threatening tarriffs on Canada, which has mills that supply a lot of our lumber. I am trying to build a commercial building right now and the lumber yard quotes are basically not valid for any duration at this point because they're terrified the tarriffs are going to hit them.
You guys think the Mexico and Canada tarriffs are going through? If so will we see at least a partial resurgence of lumber prices going back up?

Feb 1 they’re putting a 25% tariff is that right? The cost to them for doing absolutely nothing to stop the flow of fentanyl

Lumber has already gone up about 8% in the last 3-4 weeks.

I'd be surprised if lumber is hit hard by tariffs. Most of his previous tariffs were aimed at steel and technology.

We built in 2017 and our builder bought our framing package a few weeks prior to tariffs kicking in then. Saved us a bunch.
