Went to the hardware store in Goldthwaite and there was some brochures out about them. I asked the lady if they had any in stock and she said they sell out before freezes. Ordered one yesterday and got it today. Anybody have any experience good or bad? https://www.freezemiser.com/?tw_sou...cxPSJiwMV3x1ECB30fC_JEAAYASAAEgKn-fD_BwE

I have Frost Proof Hose Bibs, no need for them, just remove the water hose in the cold month.

I have about a dozen outside water spouts. All have the frost proof valve (handle) and I cover them with those faucet protectors. If I could find the freezemizer on wholesale and not $25-30 a piece I would buy them. AHAHAHHAHA

This is my 3rd winter using them. Love them. After last freeze I put them in a ziploc and put them in the freezer until next winter. Keeping them in the freezer helps you prove they're still working the next time you need them.

The video they on their website explains it. Basically best I can figure it kida acts like a themometer and when water temps drops below 37 it starts dripping.

It has some type of sealed wax core that expands/contracts w/ temperature. When it gets cold enough, the wax contracts enough to allow water to bypass the internal valve. When temps climb, the core expands and closes the valve. To me it seems like one of those things that's so simple I have to wonder why it took so long for someone to figure out. LOL

If you’ve got TikTok, there is a bunch of people who have them rigged up different ways to keep water going for livestock. I’ve looked at them but haven’t figured out a way to not make a complete mess in our stalls incase something goes awry.
