I had a guy in my unit that was in our forward supply area in Dak To. He was not in the firebase with me but a few times in about a year, but I knew him and we spoke when we saw each other. I never knew he was from Texas and found out about 8-10 years ago when he died, and the Patriot Guard Riders had a mission for his service in Bowie. He lived for many years according to his wife with the horrors of Agent Orange exposure.

I don't, kind of lost track of them. Everything I shipped to Germany burned up in a warehouse fire before I got there, so I lost all of their contact information. There are a few I think about at times.

In December my 1Lt died. I was his NCOIC. He and I were the last two of about 6-8 guys that spent a lot of time together (24/7 for months at a time) in Vietnam. I am now the only one of that group still standing. RIP Guys. Well done!

Yes. Mostly thru social media. I talk to a couple on the phone a few times a year.

Been retired over 23 years now. Have 2 or 3 people I served with that I chat with once in a while.

Pilot training class met up via ZOOM a few years ago. Several have died since then and a few were gone before. Getting old sucks! We had a large class of 104 originally and about 75 made it to graduation! The peak of Vietnam time!

Not a military member myself, but I do keep up with my friends and family who were in the military. I've lost 2 in the "22" that I would never want anyone to be a part of. So I make sure to keep talking with all of them so they know I'm here for them.

I got out in 1968. I’m the last of the bunch. A bunch died ‘over there’.

I ran into a Shipmate at a Team Roping in San Angelo about 15 years ago. He and I were good buddies and went ashore together in some sketchy places in the world. He was originally from Long Beach and moved to Abilene. We have stayed in touch since. That's the only guy I have ever seen or heard from.
