1/17:I had the pleasure of taking Bryan Brown and his son Dan out for a catch-and-release Hybrid Striped Bass trip on Cedar Creek on Friday. Bryan was referred by his neighbor, Scott Houck (who will be fishing with us tomorrow). Bryan wanted to try some winter deadsticking using the Lowrance Active Target, and the Hybrid Striped Bass and White Bass didn’t disappoint!
It was non-stop action all morning, with several Hybrids tagged and released. We also kept a few White Bass for a small fish fry. At one point, Bryan thought he had a single Hybrid on, but when we got closer to the boat, we realized he had two on at once!
It was a great day with some solid catches and plenty of good times on the water. Thanks again to Scott Houck for the referral, and to Bryan for joining us!

1/18:We had a busy weekend with a few cancellations for Sunday and Monday due to the cold weather forecasted. However, the client scheduled for Sunday decided to adjust his trip and join me today! Scott Houck, along with his good friends Matt, Judson, and his son Hagan, came out early for some catch-and-release Hybrid Striped Bass action and to catch white bass for a fish fry.
Though it was windy on the main part of the lake, we found several good spots to drift. Over the course of the day, we landed 19 hybrids and over 80-90 white bass. It was especially fun watching the young angler, Hagan, reel in some beautiful fish, with his dad offering encouragement every step of the way. Great times and lasting memories were made!
Thank you all for choosing to spend the day on the water with me. You’re all great outdoorsmen!

I have several openings in February and with this cold snap this week it wil set it up to be a spectactular Hybrid bite on Cedar Creek! Give me a call and get a date booked![[Linked Image]

That’s a great weekend Brent👍👍
I know you have probably been asked this before but, when you catch a fish that is tagged, what does that tell you?

Where it was caught, the fact that it's still alive and growing, where it's moving to, etc. I have tagged over 1400 now. I got a call from one guy he caught 1 fish that was north of the lake in kings creek in oak grove in 4 ft of water-way up by kaufman. Approx 20 miles away. I think that is pretty cool info. I have had 3 clients catch a tagged fish and 5 others that have caught a tagged fish in the mid to south area of the lake. There is yellow, pink, brown and white tagged hybrids swimming out there!
