It's looking like 2024 will be pretty similar to 2023 in terms of residential transaction volumes. But home prices continue to rise, up 3.9% year-over-year according to Case-Shiller's national home price index. Whether mortgage rates rise or fall, I remain convinced that owning a home is a brilliant way to build long-term wealth. I'd love to have a chat about your 2025 plans.

November CPI inflation was flattish, but that's probably still good enough for the Fed to cut rates again on December 18. I wanted to wish all my clients a very joyful holiday season! Take a break, love your family, be grateful, and I'll see you in 2025!!

The tamer December CPI report helped mortgage rates move lower. Meanwhile, the inventory of homes for sale continues to rise. Lower rates + more inventory? Let's hope the trend continues as the spring selling season approaches!

Mortgage rates have been trending lower lately, but not because of the typical drivers (lower inflation or higher unemployment). Instead, we have China (DeepSeek) and Colombia (tariff threats work) to thank.

Well, isn't that just 'tariffic' (haha)! A crazy week for politics and markets saw mortgage rates continue to drift lower.

The January CPI report was just what we didn't need with inflation rising on higher home rental, oil and food costs. Unless something changes, the Fed might not cut again for several months. Hope you enjoy my quick update on national and local real estate!

The shift appears to already be happening. Days on market is already dropping across nearly all local areas, signaling stronger demand as we head into spring. Buyers, your window for negotiating power is going to shrink fast. Sellers, it’s time to prepare! Let’s talk strategy.

Mortgage rates are at their lowest levels in months, giving buyers more purchasing power! Plus, "days on market" is already dropping as the Spring market heats up. If you're thinking about buying, now’s the time to act before competition picks up! Reach out to get started!

Mortgage rates continued to move lower last week, but that was mostly due to the "risk-off" trade (selling stocks & buying bonds/gold). Still, the lower PCE inflation report and weaker ADP job growth could open the door to more Fed rate cuts. Hope you enjoy my latest update on national & local real estate.

Mortgage rates have been falling for most of the last two months and refinancing activity is already picking up. But despite good progress getting CPI (inflation) lower, the Fed is expected to keep its policy rate steady at its meeting next week. Hope you enjoy my local and national real estate update!
