Her brother-in-law asked if I could help in moving her and her stuff out of an abusive marriage. We drove to another state where she lived. After midnight when her husband was at work we loaded her stuff up in a UHaul and got her out of the situation. She then moved back to another state to live with her folks. About a year later she was visiting her sister and BiL, and we went out for a date. Got married about a year after that. Been married for 38 years.

Exactly my story as well. Married for 46 years in July.

Working as a waitress while in HS

I volunteered to go into Internal Affairs, ( to get out of the Washington, DC area.) Ended up in the same town I had been working in before I was sent to DC. I was handed a case on her husband. Found out he was getting a divorce and tracked down his soon to be ex., who was able to add to the case. The rest is history. That was 30 years ago.

my best friend matched and went out a few times with an ex of mine he found on a dating website. it didn’t work out when she found out we were best friends

Her Dad and my Mom knew each other and were good friends. I stopped by my Mom's place one afternoon to visit and they stopped by as well to see my Mom.
She hated me at first, probably still does but i finally won her over. Took a while though.


Our 33rd wedding anniversary is today.
