If you were pulled over by the police for suspected drunk driving, even though you were stone sober, could you walk a straight line? I'm sure no one in this forum would ever have this happen, but just out of curiosity, could you do this walk? I sure couldn't, but I attribute it to my gray hairs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZlc0bts1Z0Nope
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Not anymore @53. I had a slip and fall at home from a wet floor in 2021 and my hip has never been the same. Doctors can't see anything but I feel it in every step.

Before you use the breathalyzer make sure they didn't just wipe the mouth piece with rubbing alcohol.

It just gives you more time to pass which usually helps. That is if they have to drive you to the hospital or its being drawn roadside.

While you do have the statutory right to refuse to take a blood or breath test, doing so will result in the automatic suspension of your license. Your license will be suspended automatically for: A minimum of 180 days if it is your first test refusal or.

Just don't drink and drive... amen. a few weeks back, I was fueling up really early in the morning at a gas station and i heard brakes squealing and a loud bang (I was near an on/off ramp to the interstate), I got on my way, and noticed a car that had ran through a curb, median, and a huge road sign was now broken down in the middle of the road. So, i drive over to see if he is okay, he said. yeah he was fine, but he was trying to get ahold of the tow company to move his car. I told him he should get out of the way so he doesn't get hit. Something seemed off, and his car was in a dangerous spot. So, when I drove off I called 911. A few hours later, I got a call from the police, asking me questions about what i saw, apparently he was arrested on DUI. I don't get it, in this day and age, with uber and whatever else (i know uber isn't everywhere) but you know what i mean, Worst case, just sleep in your car if you've had too much. Pack yourself a little overnight kit, with a sleeping bag and a pillow. cuddle up with yourself in the backseat for the night, it will be a lot cheaper.

Obviously don’t drink and drive but remember that every sobriety test, every statement and every observation will be included in the officers report. The report will be filed with the county attorney. When the county attorney has no information in the file he usually tosses it out because he’s got nothing to fight the defense attorney with. You might have a ride to jail and have a license suspension for a while but you’ll more than likely avoid a DUI conviction.
