Basically the 30 day rule was a 29 day rule in his mind lol.

January 11th is 31 days from December 11th.

December 12 - January 10th were the 30 days he shouldn’t have been able to guide per the rules.

It’s pretty simple math. So unless the reported date of his guide trip is incorrect, he got screwed.

Sorry guys, I forgot to report back. We got on the lake and were getting blown around like a balloon in a hurricane. Started having electrical problems right away, and lost the graph/GPS guidance. Having never been on the lake, and not knowing where to go, we did a little fishing blind with no luck. The cold and the frustrations of technical difficulties quickly shut us down, and we headed back home. No fish, I was humbled by Ivie and the 4 foot waves. I will go back, but only if the wind is forecast for 15 mph or less. It was COLD and blustery on Friday! There were two other boats on the lake. I did not get to ask them how they did, but I did not see any signs of happy fisherman.

Thanks for the update. It’s good to hear I’m not the only one who has boat problems and goes fishless at times.

I was out there Saturday. Wind was calmer than expected until about noon, then windier then expected. Was spot locked on a point and had a few waves come over the bow. It would be fun they said.
