This piece of Bois d’arc has been an ongoing fight for 2 weeks

The wood and I finally came to a compromise today.

It is about 7” tall. The black that you can see are cracks and insect holes filled with epoxy.

hedge probably isn't the easiest wood to work with, judging by what it takes to cut and split for firewood, haha.
