Fished last week on the "Trophy Docks" on Lake Dunlap! Caught several Bluegill and one small bass. Yesterday (Monday) went to a fishing spot on the Atascosa River and closed out 2024 with a nice Water Body Record Fish. A 13.06 Lb. Small Mouth Buffalo that was 29.50" in length. Paper works was sent to the Texas Parks & Wildlife for their review. Had a GREAT 2024 and looking forward to a GREAT 2025! Thanks Steve, Old rabbit, gander, and RCarter for the replies. Steve: Caught using corn, 5 foot rod with six pound test line. It was a challenge netting it by myself, but got it done. Wife says she can prepare several good meals and guarantees I will love it. Never had carp or buffalo before. I do know one thing for certain she cooks and prepares fish very, very, well.

Great way to close out a year Chuck. Were you targeting carp? What bait were you using? Also I know I will not get a good answer, but how many records does this make? Congratulations on yet another record catch. Good job Sir!. Side Note: That fish looked very good. Never ate Buffalo Carp before, but if it looks like that I would be more than happy to try it.
