No reason to pay the $80. Use Google Car Play. Automatically project any app you want. I use google maps. Some people like Waze. Pandora for music.

Different strokes for different folks for sure and that is fine. My personal preference is that I don't need to control the lights in my house, peruse the TFF, check my emails, pay utility bills, while I am driving and google doesn't need to know where I am or what I am saying. I just want a non connected GPS system.

I used the Android mapping in my '23 F150 Lariat but found it lacking. It kept losing the wireless conncection and when lost you could not reengage without stopping and rebooting and typing in the new search. Fustrating when you're in the boonies on a county road looking for an address. As I use the mapping almost weekly for work I gave up and paid the $80 bucks for the Ford Navigation capability.
