I have a first Gen Tundra . Has had it's share of serious issues , little disappointing because my 4Runner was amazing .
This posted lawsuit is exactly why I didn't go Tundra in 2023 . I opted for a RAM ---first time , we will see how that goes . The motor and tranny in my RAM have been around for a really long time ---.
RAM was bought out in 2014 and quality went from bad to OK --- so far

I’m on my 2nd tundra, and it’s been awesome. We also currently have a 2014 Tacoma in our family fleet. We’ve also owned a 2005 4Runner, 2006 Tacoma, 2010 Sequioa and Lexus GX 460. Not one of them have ever had a maintenance problem. Toyota is light years better than any domestic auto maker. It’s not even up for debate.

How does this Toyota class action compare to the Ford Ecoboost class action, the GM class action covering transmissions, engine failure and oil pumps, or the Ram class action covering electric power steering failure and emission issues.? They all have them and all get resolved eventually. I have faith in Toyota and my next truck might be a Land Cruiser.

Agreed...don't leave off the F-250 "death wobble". This is old news and Toyota is taking care of VIN's with issues. They have corrected the throttle issue/"engine failure".

Why just Ford? If Toyota made a real truck with a solid font axle, they'd have the death wobble issue too, just like the Chevy Shake and where do Fords get that name?.....Dodge Death Wobble.

I have sold Chevy’s, Ford’s, Honda’s, and Dodges in my 30 years as car salesman and Toyota’s were by far the easiest to sell. They also had the best repeat business customers of all of them. I drive a Tundra for a reason and still have contacts in all of the listed makes.

I just buy whatever I think looks best at the time for the best price I can find it. Rinse and repeat every 2 years.

Never had a Tundra but have a 2004 Sequoia and 2011 Rav.
Both are over 200,000.
They’re never in the repair shop except for door handles.

Ok....generic manufacturer death wobble. Who cares? I do not have an issue with Ford however if Toyota had a 3/4 ton in the U.S. I would probably drive it. Point being every manufacturer has it's issues. Poor engineering or simply trying to pump product/units out the factory door there will be issues.

What's your issue with Toyota front axles? I drive an '06 with 400K on it and have had the front ball joints replaced 2X in 19 years. I have had 2 - '97 Tacomas that had the V6 engines. Both standard transmissions and 4 wheel drive. Sold 1 of them 2 years ago and still drive the other. Regular maintenance....no issues.

I have no issues with their axles. But if they made a heavy duty truck, it would likely have a solid front axle as they tend to be stronger and considered to be more reliable. Though I think GM switched to IFS. Apples/Oranges.
