Played cornet/trumpet through 2 years of college. Later played with a Civil War band and played Taps at a lot of veterans' funerals as a member of Bugles Across America. Great experiences. Strange thing is that I can still play most of the songs we played in high school by memory, and that was a lonnnnnggg time ago.

Learned guitar as a kid when the Beatles were live on the Ed Sullivan show. Played some in high school, then cars, girls, etc. Played some in USAF tech school barracks, then marriage, kids, technical career. In 2006, I got interested in playing again, got me a Martin geetar and found out about the bluegrass jam scene every saturday night on the Garland Square. Been playing ever since with a bunch of old people at different jams all over. I picked up the dobro and can pick at that a little, but acoustic guitar is my go-to. Harmonica too. It is a lot of fun, I enjoy the people too. You can play a bluegrass, country or gospel tune and folks will chime right in.

I play guitar and write music.

I can get away with playing drums, sort of, and bass, then harmonica.

Singing is a challenge for many, but not me if I stay within range.

...!

Tried learning the guitar but just never got it...always wished I had some musical talent but it just never clicked for me. Envy those who do have that talent.
