Friday was my third DS trip on Tawakoni in the past 3 weeks and by far the best day. My neighbor joined me from 1030 to 4pm, 1 drift using splasher due to calm East wind in 42ft average depth. Water temp 55f. We boats over 200 plus fish, mostly sandies. About 25 kitties, 5 legal hypers, and 2 short hybrids.

My graph looks like this most of the time. No drooling please! Lol

SeaPro-Todd you dead stick with a 5 arm A-rig? What jig head/body combo do you use?

To be honest the recent trips lots of small sandies followed and the slab with fly, or crappie jig, or marabou jig tied above the slab got way more hits, more misses, and more hookups. The ARig got less hits but caught more magnums and hybrids. All of the 5 hypers wet on that ARig including a couple of 2 lb class sandies.

The sizes of the fish follow dictates the weight of the jig heads and sizes of plastics. The four arms, use 1/8 to 1/4 oz jig heads. The center arm, use 1/2 to 1 oz jig head, at drift speed near dot5 mph. If drift speed is 1 mph use heavier jig heads.

The counts got high bc of this combo. Lol. Even though they're were more misses than hookups

I can’t believe the water temp is still this warm. Hopefully after this cold weather it will drop some more and the big fish will group up in deeper water.
Great graph shots Todd👍
