I’ve always used line heavier than what I see recommended in videos due to fear of breaking off. What line strength does everyone use in wooded lakes like Fork?

I typically use #12, I'll go #15 for some baits. I don't have any issues with either. I fish around timber at Roberts or Fork most of the time.

Squarebills/ shallow cranks- 16/20lb flouro

Usually 10 pound Berkley Sensation if I'm really wanting to ring the depth out of a crankbait and I'll go as high as 14 pound when fishing cover. I do have one rig I have 30 pound braid loaded and that is for the jungles.
