I have a 1996 15HP Mercury that I'm having some issues with. Every place I've called has said either the motor is too old or they don't work on manual start motors (pull start). Anyone know a mechanic in the Lake Fork or Tyler areas? The motor is leaking water into the foot and I need someone to figure out why or how.

Are you located in Wylie? That's a bit of a haul, but possible.

Give Joe Mauldin a call at (903) 668-2022.
He is located between Longview and Hallsville off of Highway 80 at 504 Lansing Switch Road, Longview, TX 75602. I have used him with good luck in the past.
I am also getting another persons name and phone number from a fishing friend of mine.
Both of these guys work on older model Mercury outboards.
