When my dad was around 64 years old he toppled and cut down a huge cottonwood tree in our front yard, I thought I was gonna get up there and help, but just couldn’t do it.

Hope you told him you wanted the wood. Looks like some good millable lumber in there. I would have zero ways of dealing with this. However, three more trees to come down. One is an absolute monster. I will try to get a video of that top coming down

Those guys clang. I hired a guy to take down a few for me that were tall like that. Those trees get wobbly up there. My hat is off to them.

I have a huge burr oak in my backyard, no way I would trim it myself.

Got an old buddy out of Richardson, Tx that's been cuttin em down for 25+ years. Guys name is Paul Hanson with Perfect Trees.
He has a few good stories about some close calls.
