Today I hit Sneaker Swim along with Bret and my dad. All three of us caught some carp, we ended up with about 9 carp total, plus some largemouth, and a catfish.

Most of the carp were pretty small so we didn't bother taking pictures of them, until...

My dad landed a koi! Obviously, we had to snap a few shots:

It almost has a ghost carp look to it, and when we first saw the head, that's what we thought it was. Instead, turned out to be a gold and grey koi. Awesome.

Thanks guys! I showed him the comments and he was very appreciative.

Fish, it was caught out of the Trinity River, on sweet corn.

Excellent, I've started fishing sweet corn in the rivers around here. As of yet, I've only manged to catch catfish on this set-up. The carp seem wary, but that is the challenge isn't it? I've already been pulled into a river by a fiesty buffalo on one occasion and I'm up for a rematch! Bring it!

Yes, carp can be VERY wary fish and very easily spooked. ( And I'm not talking about stupid carp that live at Marinas and are hand fed lol )

Clear water fish are also much, much spookier and hard to catch. My advice would be to start throwing out a can of sweet corn a day, get them used to it, and THEN fish it.

Also, getting pulled in the water by a buffalo rules...I almost got pulled off a boat into the water by a huge buffalo once hehehe.
