Shout out to Zaldain. Chris’s crew has really stepped up their game on YouTube, their last few videos I watched took place in Africa and were very high quality. I enjoyed seeing the winning anglers of the local derbies wearing jackets, classy touch. Keep putting out content!

I stopped watching Zaldain after he pulled up on a guy already fishing a spot and chewed the guy out and told him that he was going to go to his work and disrupt his paycheck. Douche bag move!

Fair enough. I saw that, I’m not sure why he would post a video like that, I don’t know enough of the details around that to know who was right or wrong. Personally I go fish a different lake if there is a big event going on at Toledo Bend or Rayburn. I pretty much avoid those lakes on the weekend.

Ya kinda like the Johnston's at the last tournament this year. Seems like pro bass fishing is loaded with nothing but a bunch of douche's.

Someone should explain to the little man the difference between a private business and a public lake. He’s from California, no amount of teaching will help. However, he put out a few good videos, so, props for the good videos.

He also fished good this year, qualified for the Classic by coming in 14th place in the AOY standings. I met him in March of 2021 when he was pre-fishing Ray Roberts before it would go off limits again. I was just walking in the state park on a very windy, windy day and his was the only truck in the parking lot. I'm heading to the boat ramp and I hear a motor humming along and he rounds the corner, heads to the pier, sets his spot lock and grabs a long swimbait rod with a 8" Magdraft and makes a few casts. By this time, I'm on the dock and he doesn't know I'm watching. The bow of his boat is up and down and splashing water soaking him from the knees down, he wasn't wearing rain pants. Third cast his rod is bent over and he brings a big fish in the boat, even from my distance, I could tell it was a big fish. I start clapping and yelling and he's shocked someone was watching him. He weighed an 8.5 pounder. He comes to the ramp and we talk for 15 minutes or so. Very nice guy to talk with. He was just marking spots in state park cove and hadn't made any cast until he ended his day at the pier. It was way to rough for him to map on the main lake. He gave me the Magdraft as a souvenir. I'm not an autograph person, unless someone wants to sign a check over to me, but that was a nice gesture. I hope he does well in the Classic.

I know he fished one or two of the Roberts Tuesday nighters this year as well.

He fished one of the Tuesday Nighters we fished. He was wailing on them with a swimbait and big spoon. He was sitting on one of the spots I have marked for Summer time fun. It was cool watching him while we were tearing up the sand bass behind him.

That was a douche bag move and I lost interest because he tried to plead that he was right and the other angler was wrong. As a professional angler, he should of respected the weekend warrior and fished another spot or asked just ask to share the spot.
