To the OP, just make sure you get all that extra schit the finance guy tells you about. The specialized air in the tires, dent repair, tinted window insurance, extra insurance, extra extra insurance, special paint protection, and the windshield washer fluid insurance

I couldn't hate the guy. She did it out of her free will. Kinda disgusted it had been him. He was a man-whore.

I'm telling ya'. High school sweethearts are the best.

Did she get a car out of the deal?

Can’t be. Dead giveaway is that he hasn’t mentioned the summer of ‘72 that he went to Costa Rica even a single time

I think we need some pics to decide if she is worth an $80,000 vehicle. All joking aside, just go get it. You can't take the money with you. If 80,000 is going to affect your retirement. You definitely don't need a new car . Pics are still OK though

I’m just glad to know that if my wife wants a new car, she goes and gets one. She’s not a child and I’m not her daddy.

You guys don’t discuss major purchases? I’d assume most healthy marriages are on the same page so it wouldn’t be some random event I come home and new car is in the driveway.

Letting each other know our intentions and plans…sure.

Thats not the vibe I’m getting from this discussion though. There’s a whole lot of “I” buy “her” being thrown around here. I’m not superior to my wife, we are equals…although she makes about triple what I make.

Same here. Been married for 33 years. She knows our financials as well as I do. We have complete trust in one another to know the other is not going to put us in a bad spot. We both know what we can afford. Not a lot to talk about in that regard. I personally want her to get the car she wants. She works hard, is a good woman great wife and an incredible mother and grandmother. I like seeing her happy and I like the peace of mind to know she's in a reliable vehicle.

Wife surprised me with an $85 truck for Christmas 2 years ago. When she's ready for a new ride I won't complain at all whatever it is.
