Yeah, one day my Father tells me, "Boy, we need to talk". We sit down at the kitchen table. "Your wife has been with someone". Meaning she slept with my father's freaking boss at the construction company. I didn't know exactly who until I got a job there. Then while I'm sitting in the back seat of a GMC four door years later. The Boss turns around and tells me it was him.

I couldn't hate the guy. She did it out of her free will. Kinda disgusted it had been him. He was a man-whore.


I'm telling ya'. High school sweethearts are the best.

You guys don’t discuss major purchases? I’d assume most healthy marriages are on the same page so it wouldn’t be some random event I come home and new car is in the driveway.

The key is to marry a woman from a more traditional culture.
No one has ever enjoyed pushing a boulder uphill.

….or marry one who is fiscally conservative….several variables here that must be selected wisely prior to buying an engagement ring.

Same here. Been married for 33 years. She knows our financials as well as I do. We have complete trust in one another to know the other is not going to put us in a bad spot. We both know what we can afford. Not a lot to talk about in that regard. I personally want her to get the car she wants. She works hard, is a good woman great wife and an incredible mother and grandmother. I like seeing her happy and I like the peace of mind to know she's in a reliable vehicle.
