Wow. It was a downpour. I almost didn’t have to back my truck to put the boat back in the trailer!

The rain gear held up. Stayed dry on the inside. The boat is wetter than the fish I caught. The lake I caught those big ones at last weekend was 2-1/2 ft low. When I drove by it coming home, it was running over the spillway. The lake I was at today came up 4” while I was fishing. Skipping docks got harder and harder. Eventually, I had a 3” gap on some of them and had to time my fasts to the waves. Haha. It was worth it….i guess.

I went on friday to PK and it sucked wished 5 hrs without a bite . This lake has lost it's fish as I see it .I am seeing a lot more shad flipping and on screen but few fish . My son went on Thursday caught a 4# early and not another bite all day

If I didn’t have actual responsibilities today; I’d be on the water for sure.

No fishing for me. I'm warm and dry. Just the way I like it. When I was younger I'd be out there except for one thing. Lightning.

There was plenty of that today. I think I nosed the boat into other boat houses at least a dozen times today. It POURED for 8 hours non stop.

The weather has been screwing with me lately. If I have something to do that I can't get out of, the weather is great. If I am free, the weather bites.

Went out yesterday for a tournament. I did not expect rain and only had my rain jacket, could not find my rain pants.
I need a new face mask too, mine was fogged up so much I could hardly see.
My forehead is sore from rain drops at 50 mph too.
Took a beating but caught a limit.

All you had to do was drive west… west of Abilene hardly got any.
