Got a Lews Reactor Speed Spool, 7.5:1, and a 7’6” heavy action rod from my kids for Christmas. I only bank fish right now. I’m boatless. What’s the best line and best technique for this set up. All my other stuff is 7’0” medium heavy and a 6.4:1 or better.

That would make a good jig or big worm setup.

I would put Sunline Sniper 16-18 lb Flouro on it and have fun with 1/2 oz jigs.

That's a big ole rod, so you'll need to throw something heavy, like 1/2 oz and higher. Should handle a chatterbait like a champ. Don't know if you have any heavy glide baits or not, but that would be another option. Also, all of the heavy jigs as well.

Throw on some 20 lb fluoro, and you got yourself a good set up!

I can think, of a lot of use for that combo, but its probably overkill for most bank applications. You could frog with it. Bigger jig for sure, but big jigs don't fish well up hill, they can snag on everything.
Maybe a c rig rod
