Yes! If you feel your life is threatened, which it is, always

If someone invades another person‘s home without permission and is told to leave but refuses to do so, that individual is breaking the law and violating a sacred American right. There should be no argument whatsoever about this. But a Georgia woman insanely was arrested and charged with multiple crimes after she tried to evict an aggressive squatter who locked her out of her own home. The police sided with the victimizer instead of the victim.

Protecting criminals is an everyday occurrence now. Completely insane.

It happens even in Texas. The problem here is that the homeowner operated without an order from a court. She should have waited till a court had made the decision then got a policeman to assist her in removing the person. I've seen it happen a couple times where a person had moved in, lived there for a couple months with no rent agreement. It took 30 days before the court issued an eviction notice.

That is the problem- you shouldn’t have to do any of that. Trespassers should be kicked to the curb immediately.

I agree with you. I don't understand why states don't pass legislation to protect property owners from these kind of intrusions and property theft attempts. There must be something that we are missing here.

This was a rental property. If you force removal of squatters in the red state of Texas, you will quickly learn about the law as it pertains to rental property.

You’d probably bake them a cake.

You have to love man’s sense of “justice.” There will never be justice delivered at the hands of man. 😂

Legal “crookery” is rampant in todays world.

Jeremiah 7:28 KJV

But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Galatians 4 : 16

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Yes, Sir. Landlords can't act a fool. I've witnessed evictions. From people bailing on the lease to a Constable standby.

If some fool thinks he's gonna lay hands on someone or feels he can start throwing property out the door without going through the steps. Jail awaits the Ahole.

My German Shepard is very protective of her house. If someone ever decides to squat I will let Mia take care of it

We have laws to prevent abuse. Laws that were created to address the situation.

So far, I've read that violence is called for. Using a dog to attack them.

You're dealing with a fellow human being. So like it or not. You can't do what you want to.

my blue heeler is the same way. LOL

if I had to I would shut the water off then cut the line. I would have power cut off and meter pulled if need be. I am paying the bills and not paying for squatters. I may not can kick them out but I dang sure ain't paying their bills.

I would move in change the locks on my bedroom door when they left, I would just change the locks also.

Had to deal with this a lot at the apartments I worked at years ago. We never used the "legal system." Once they stepped foot on to our property, they were trespassing. Most of them were pretty easy going and would just pack stuff and leave. Only one person I had to draw on and he was crazy whacked out on something. Sad thing was, I think he was a veteran because he didn't fit the profile of the younger crowd. He was the only one I wanted to help instead of having to escort them off the property. Some of them were simply looking for shelter. When we would have bad winter weather and I found squatters, (and having to judge their mental acuity and intentions) I'd tell them, "I don't see you, you didn't see me. Do NOT eff up the place and when this bad weather is gone, so are you." 100% of those people were just grateful to be out of the deep freezing temps and have water. They would do as they were told. In that area, there was lot's of drugs and prostitution. There was always break-ins for those one night stand kind of things. We ended up having to board up the windows from the inside to keep people from having their little "parties" and tearing up the bottom rows of apartments. The weird thing was, out of all of our properties, this one had a nice tall metal fence around it and it had by far, the most crime and other problems. I guess the riff-raff thought it must have been a special place because it was a gated community. I had checked the crime map one time and noticed an apartment complex down the street from us had over 40 sex offenders registered as living there.

So glad I'm away from that place.

Big difference between someone overstaying their lease and someone breaking in don’t ya think?

In Texas? How? Have you read our squatter law?

I agree. it's a frustrating situation. I'm just appalled at some of the reactions. Hence, why we have the law to begin with.

Do you want to feel free, putting hands on someone else over some shack? Let loose your dog?

No Sir, you're not doing that in Texas. Take the steps and act civilised.

People do what they want everyday.
