Thanks for the info guys. I have a slug Champion 196, so it's nice to hear "grout-scout" is fine with his 24v. It's not that I want to go weaker, it just boils down to $. Price of batteries, especially AGM's have gone up and I'm thinking possibly two lithiums, which is even more $, so if I could get by with two instead of three and I've got the TM that allows me to do that then it's just something I'm thinking about for the near future. A little weight savings and more room in the back compartment to work on things doesn't hurt as well.
I would have liked to bought "tmd11111" Antares, but instead, I have to start thinking about TM batteries and replacing 24 year old carpet and seats just to look respectable to you guys and your fancy rigs. I'd hate to think I would have to stop fishing 3 to 4 days midweek and get a job. Now if my engine goes, I'm SOL!
Just throw some blood around in the boat like you actually catch fish. Most of the posts here were made by people who don't.

My buddy has a Champion 196 with 24v ghost also, it’s plenty enough motor for lake Amistad wind & waves. Bigger debate is 100ah vs 50ah.

24 v perfect for under 21 ft 36 v kinda yanks a 18 -19 ft boat when engaged even on low Just my

24 is plenty, 36 is even better.
How long till someone says 48v is the best? I love my 48v it’s faster than  When I mount my Lazy-boy and 52" screen on the front deck, then I'll need the 48v.

I think this is like how much horsepower do really need on a motor. Some like 300hp or more. My 200hp is plenty fast enough for me plus I could not afford a bigger motor. Get what you can afford

How long till someone says 48v is the best? Lol castledine has a video out pimping 3 36 volt lithium for the tm.... I'm not saying he doesn't need that. I'm saying 99 percent don't need that but need in fishing is out the window That's a little silly. My house in the middle of Summer consumes about 4.2kW. 3x 36v Lithium batteries = 3 x (38.4v x 60Ah) = 6.9kW. He could run my house for a day and a half in the middle of Summer with those batteries.

Now my 24 year old carpet needs a good cleaning or replacement.

I run an old motorguide tour 80 which is 24v, its plenty but I'm not a hard core tourney guy just a bank beating weekend warrior for largemouth when its not deer season. But yes 36 is better and guessing you will wish you still had 36.

I doubt he is paying the same price we do for them.... if your gonna swap youtube review for merch you may as well get max merchandise.
