I’m all for SRA cracking down on unscrupulous park owners. Aside from that I don’t really understand their reasoning.

I believe the lease back rules have always stated no permanent structures on lease back land. Seems a lot of rules have not been followed and they are trying to reign them in.

For those interested.. This update was posted by the owners of Lake Fork Marina today:

“The SRA met this morning in Center, TX. RV park owners and RV owners were in attendance. We were pleasantly surprised by the action of the SRA Board of Directors, as they voted unanimously to grandfather existing parks on the issues regarding park models, spacing and roads. It was evident that board members had read the public comments and responded to the concerns voiced by park owners, rv owners and community members. They decided a better approach would be to address safety issues on a case by case basis. We deeply appreciate the consideration given by the board that will allow our businesses to remain viable, and to allow our rv customers to continue to enjoy Lake Fork. This is definitely a win for the local economy.”

Not sure how the 25 foot spacing was dumped as well. They're so close now in some place if one lights up, 3 or 4 will burn before the FD can get there... Good news for the businesses around the lake though.

I think SRA should’ve forced all parks to have tiny homes. They are way better looking in parks than some of the old beat up trailers I’ve seen. All these parks around the lake have rules. And none of them enforce them.

With Chance out there now the entire area will circle the bowl quickly

Took my Whiskey Tango neighbors less that 6 months to totally trash the property next door. Imagine what can be done in 25 years.......
Local FD's need to step up and demand more money/equipment for increasing load on districts and manpower.
