Had a buddy tell me they may have dropped the water to work on docks. Was wanting to take a trip soon but was unsure if they have in fact dropped the level and if ramps were useable? Thanks

Its low! Looks about 3 ft.

It is really low. I talked to a city employee at the ramp last week. He said they drop it 7 feet every four years to allow for dock and bulkhead maintenance. They are keeping it down until 12/17 and then will let it start filling back up. Be careful. More stumps than usual.

I went out there once. Bite sucked. And the only accessible ramp was sketchy. Trailer tires off the end in the prop wash sand. Basically plowing mud to get it loaded back on the trailer

I don't know you but, Hawkins is the best lake around! Jesse should change his vote back to Hawkins!

A lot of those stumps have rebar in them courtesy of the property owners.

First time I went to Hawkins I got a big fish and a few other good ones. Had a lot of bites. I'm thinking I like this lake. Next trip I had just small fish and about half the bites. Pretty much every trip after I'm lucky to catch a handful of swimmers if that. Not sure I like it anymore....
