Not trying to be mean or upset you. I honestly want to know why you're in my state?

I don't want to live anywhere that the daily weather reports regularly include the words "wind chill" or "zero". I wouldn't mind a summer home in Maine. Spawn starts in early May and the fall bite is phenomenal. May to early October.

I own 33 acres in East Tennessee but them hills are filling up with yankee transplants. My sis retired to the old family farm 5 years ago after 60 years in Texas. She's had bears on the porch and there's a lot of turkey in the yard. Deer are kind of scanty though due to an outbreak of bluetongue about 7-8 years ago. It's beautiful land with hardwood covered hills but I have lots of privacy and woods here.

This is a nice area, but growing too fast IMO. Have you been to Pea Ridge lately? There's been around a thousand houses plus apartment bldgs. put in in the last 2 years. Traffic jams with mile long backups at one of the 4 way stops on HWY 94 on weekday mornings. Housing prices going up too.

But some good fishing in the area, great health care available, lots of bike and walking trails.

Yep, one of my favorites for some reason, and I’ve been through most of them.
