Can someone please tell me what this annoying fish is so that when I am cussing it in the future I can actually know what I am cursing at?

Are these things good for anything other than coming to the surface and destroying your hopes for a White Bass???

speaking of these drum...I believe they are annoying to the Hybrids and Stripers also...I have netted at least a couple of these every live bait trip for many years and always keep a couple that are 5-7" along with the bream and gizzard shad I net. I only will put one down (hook across the nose holes) when I run out of all other types of bait in wide open bites, and I can honestly say the Hybrids and Stripers will not bite them...at least not for me.

on texoma they love em on the flats. put a 1/2oz,a swivel and a 24 in leader and let it drag out from the boat. works best april/may and oct/nov but try anytime fish running the flats.

I caught one of those my first trip to texas a solid 5pounder, I was fishing for cats at Shirley Creek, I had no idea what it was so I walked into the marina and said..."hey im new around here, what is this and is it a good one of what ever it is" Some old guy drinkin coffee said it was a drum, and it was a good one. I wish I had a picture of it.
