Watching the news. Have not heard a mention of it yet. They want to erase all history from our memory Remember the Alamo, it has been forgotten Pearl Harbor, Never Forget, it's almost forgotten 9/11, Never Forget it's becoming an after thought

This is the most somber place I have ever visited. As I was walking outside after the tour, I saw The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall. I went and found the names a few friends and some friends fathers. Talk about a jolt of reality, so many paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Did you go to PunchBowl Memorial in Hawaii? That is pretty eye opening as well, that is where many remains are buried from Pearl Harbor.

I visited the Arizona memorial at Pearl. I will never forget! It is quite an experience. The lack of talk and the silence are almost like a holy place. I took these photos when were there on Dec. 6, 2008. After 83 years there is still oil leaking from the hull and rising to the surface right next to the Memorial. That oil is called "The Tears of the Arizona." ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2024/12/full-23811-251541-arizona_tears.jpg)
Family is everything!
Life is precious. We donโt have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

That oil is called "The Tears of the Arizona." Went back in 1984. Had know conscious idea how many WWII veterans I was surrounded by until we got to the memorial. Seeing all the emotions coming out of these veterans is still one of my most vivid experiences in my life. It was very emotional.
